Parents of St Bart's (POBs)
The POBs team help to encourage close links between parents and carers of children and the school.
We coordinate parental support in the classroom, offer assistance and refreshments at school events like parents evenings and sports days, and liaise with the senior leadership team and teaching staff. We have Parent Representatives in each class who communicate important information between teachers and parents and help to arrange class activities and social events.
POBs play an important role in fundraising for the school, and run an annual calendar of events including the Christmas and Summer Fairs, Quiz Night and year group Bake Sales. Proceeds from these events are used to fund a range of activities and projects such as cookery lessons, library resources and playground equipment.
All of the parents of St Bart's are greatly valued and the Headteacher meets regularly with POBs to ensure there is a strong link between the school and parent group.
There are lots of ways that parents can get involved, whether it is helping out at an event, sitting on the POBs committee or volunteering regularly or occasionally in your child’s class. We welcome all your support.
