At St Bartholomew's Primary School we regularly explore the big questions in life. We do this through collective worship and the wider curriculum. We talk about seeking to understand meaning and purpose in life and a connection with something that is bigger than ourselves; finding an inner peace and understanding ourself and others. It is also considering the much bigger questions about life. Spirituality is different to being religious and we believe everyone can have a spiritual side regardless of if they have a faith or no faith. 

Each week the children create big questions that are linked to the theme of the week and they are discussed in classrooms.

In 2026, the whole school took part in an art project to explore Who am I? The project was called 'A Piece of Me.' Every child created a piece of artwork to show a little bit of who they are.

To celebrate the centenary of the Haslemere Museum in 2026, our children took part in an oral history project. The children explored the question: who am I? what Haslemere means to them and their families. Children presented their oral history presentations to their peers. 

Our Spiritual Garden

Our Spiritual garden was re-opened in September 2026 by Bishop Paul after some refurbishment. We would like to thank the church for all their support working with the school to create such a beautiful place for our children and staff to be peaceful and explore our own inner thoughts.
